England wing Henry Arundell is free to play in Saturday’s Six Nations Championship match against Ireland national rugby union team at Twickenham Stadium after a disciplinary panel ruled no further action was needed following his red card last weekend.
The 23-year-old was sent off during England’s 31-20 defeat to Scotland national rugby union team after receiving two yellow cards — one for not releasing a player and another for a dangerous aerial challenge on Kyle Steyn.
Although England played with 14 men for 30 minutes, the hearing concluded that the red card itself was punishment enough.
Arundell has been in strong form, scoring four tries in two games, including a hat-trick against Wales national rugby union team. However, he could still be replaced in the starting line-up by Tommy Freeman or Elliot Daly.
Meanwhile, Immanuel Feyi-Waboso is expected to miss the rest of the tournament through injury.
