England winger Immanuel Feyi-Waboso is a doubt for the Wales game after picking up a leg injury in training.
The 23-year-old had to stop early during Thursday’s training session after his leg became sore, leaving England unsure if he will be fit for Saturday’s Six Nations opener against Wales. Coaches say the injury does not look serious, but it is still being checked.
Feyi-Waboso, who was born in Cardiff and played youth rugby for Wales, has never faced them at senior level. He started all four of England’s autumn Tests, and his absence could force changes in the backline.
If he cannot play, England may move Tommy Freeman back to the wing, bring Elliot Daly into the side, or reshuffle the centres. Other wing options are limited due to injuries and squad commitments.
