England captain Maro Itoje returns to the starting XV for Saturday’s Six Nations match against Scotland at Murrayfield. Itoje, who came off the bench in last week’s big win over Wales, starts in the second row as one of two changes to the forward pack.
Luke Cowan-Dickie starts at hooker, while Jamie George, who captained the team last weekend, moves to the bench. The only other change sees fly-half Fin Smith named among the replacements instead of Marcus Smith.
England will be aiming to build on last year’s narrow Calcutta Cup win over Scotland after four straight defeats between 2021 and 2024. Head coach Steve Borthwick said the team is looking forward to the challenge of playing Scotland in Edinburgh.
