Luis Diaz scored a hat-trick and Harry Kane added two penalties as Bayern Munich cruised to a big win over 10-man Hoffenheim to go six points clear at the top of the Bundesliga.
Kane opened the scoring from the penalty spot after Diaz was fouled, a challenge that saw Hoffenheim defender Kevin Akpoguma sent off. Hoffenheim briefly levelled through Andrej Kramaric, but Bayern quickly took control.
Kane scored again before setting up Diaz for a third, and the former Liverpool forward added another after the break before completing his hat-trick late on. The win restores Bayern’s six-point lead at the top after pressure from Borussia Dortmund.
