Trent Alexander-Arnold marked his first start in over two months with an assist as Real Madrid beat Real Sociedad to move top of La Liga.
Returning from a thigh injury, the England defender crossed for Gonzalo Garcia to score after just five minutes. Sociedad equalised through Mikel Oyarzabal’s penalty, but Madrid quickly restored their lead when Vinicius Junior converted from the spot.
Federico Valverde added a third before half-time with a powerful strike, and Vinicius sealed the win with another penalty early in the second half.
The victory lifts Madrid two points clear of Barcelona at the top of the table.
