Wales and British and Irish Lions full-back Liam Williams has retired from international rugby.

The 34-year-old won 93 caps for Wales, scoring 21 tries, and helped his country win two Six Nations titles, including a Grand Slam. He also represented the British and Irish Lions on two tours, playing five Test matches.

Williams began his career as an amateur while working as a scaffolder in Port Talbot before turning professional with Scarlets in 2011. He later played for Saracens, Cardiff and now Newcastle, where he will continue his club career.

His final appearance for Wales came in the 2025 Six Nations. Williams said he is stepping away from international rugby with pride and gratitude after a memorable career.
