Teenage Saints Winger Todaro suffers cruciate Ligament injury

0

Northampton Saints winger Edoardo Todaro is set to be out for a long time after tearing a cruciate ligament in his right knee while training with Italy. Tests confirmed the serious injury, and the 19-year-old will now return to Saints to continue his recovery with help from both club and national team medical staff.

Todaro has impressed this season, scoring 10 tries in 13 games for Saints after signing his first professional contract. His strong form earned him a call-up to Italy’s senior squad, where he made his international debut against Chile in November and was named in the squad for the upcoming Six Nations.

Born in Milan, Todaro moved to England at 14 and was spotted by Northampton while studying at Ipswich School. Despite the setback, he is seen as one of the club’s most exciting young players.
