The win was a big achievement for the new Blues manager, facing a tactician who once led Chelsea to the Premier League title. With Chelsea 2-1 down in Naples, Rosenior’s second-half tactical changes sparked a comeback, with Joao Pedro scoring twice to ensure a top-eight finish.
“It’s not about me,” said Rosenior, after Chelsea became only the second team to beat Napoli at home in 21 matches. While Chelsea celebrated, Conte faced another European disappointment, with Napoli failing to reach the knockout stage for the fourth time under him.
