Marcus Rashford scored as Barcelona came from behind to beat Copenhagen and secure a spot in the last 16 of the Champions League. The Manchester United forward, on loan, curled in a brilliant free-kick his fifth goal of the season to seal Barcelona’s place in the top eight.
Barcelona struggled in the first half and fell behind early when Mohamed Elyounoussi set up 17-year-old Viktor Dadason for a fourth-minute goal. Despite dominating shots, Barcelona couldn’t equalize before halftime, trailing for the fifth time this campaign.
However, just three minutes into the second half, Lamine Yamal assisted Robert Lewandowski, who scored his 107th Champions League goal. Yamal then scored himself with a deflected strike from outside the box. Later, Lewandowski was fouled in the box, and captain Raphinha calmly converted the penalty. Rashford added another goal 10 minutes after coming on to make the win comfortable for the Spanish leaders.
Copenhagen had a late goal ruled out for offside and couldn’t match Barcelona’s second-half intensity, leaving them disappointed to miss out on the play-off spots.
