Prescod Denies taking drugs ahead of Enhanced Games

0

Former Great Britain sprinter Reece Prescod says he is not taking drugs despite signing up for the Enhanced Games.

The controversial event, set to take place in Las Vegas in May, allows athletes to use substances that are banned in normal sport, as long as they are approved by US regulators.

Prescod, the fourth-fastest British man over 100m, said clearly that he has not taken any substances and does not plan to, adding that his focus is on getting back into sub-10-second shape.

The Enhanced Games have faced heavy criticism from anti-doping authorities, but Prescod said athletes are given a personal choice and that he is training as he normally would for a season.
