Former England fast bowler Stuart Broad says England do not have a drinking problem, despite recent headlines about players and alcohol.
Broad admitted a few players made mistakes that attracted attention, but insisted this does not reflect the wider team culture. He said most of the squad are not heavy drinkers and are generally professional.
He added that strong team culture means players should look out for each other to avoid trouble, rather than relying on strict rules like midnight curfews, which he feels are unnecessary.
Broad said international cricketers need some way to relax during long tours, stressing that enjoying time off responsibly is normal and healthy.
England captain Jos Buttler agreed, saying players must be careful about appearances in public but remain professional at all times while representing England.
