Manchester City stayed top of the WSL with a solid 2-0 win over Everton. Brazilian forward Kerolin opened the scoring with a deflected shot, and Vivianne Miedema added a second after the hour with a precise finish.
Everton spent most of the game defending and only managed one shot on target compared to City's 13. A close-range effort from Martina Fernandez was disallowed, leaving Everton frustrated.
The win was City's 11th straight in the WSL, keeping them six points ahead of defending champions Chelsea. Despite some early saves from Everton goalkeeper Courtney Brosnan, City’s dominance eventually paid off, with Kerolin’s deflected strike giving them the lead and Miedema sealing the win.
Everton's loan signing Hannah Blundell had their best chance, but her shot was saved. The Toffees remain 10th in the table.
