Poland won the United Cup for the first time after beating Switzerland 2-1 in the final, despite a tough start.
World number two Iga Swiatek lost the opening singles match to Switzerland’s Belinda Bencic, putting Poland behind early. However, Hubert Hurkacz brought Poland level by beating Stan Wawrinka in a tight three-set match.
The title was decided in the mixed doubles, where Katarzyna Kawa and Jan Zielinski continued their perfect run in the tournament, defeating Bencic and Jakub Paul to secure victory.
The win gave Poland their first United Cup title after losing the finals in 2024 and 2025, marking a historic moment for the team.
