Antoine Semenyo is close to joining Manchester City and is set to undergo a medical, with the deal expected to be completed before Saturday. City have agreed to trigger Semenyo’s £65m release clause, which must be activated by 10 January.
The Bournemouth winger will have his medical after Wednesday night’s match against Tottenham. Despite interest from Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United and Spurs, Manchester City are the only club to make a formal move.
Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola admitted this could be Semenyo’s last game for the club, adding that the Ghana international, who has nine goals and three assists this season, would be “almost impossible to replace.”
