Fulham boss Marco Silva says the club has contacted PGMOL to question Florian Wirtz’s controversial goal for Liverpool. The goal was first flagged as offside but was later allowed to stand after a VAR check, despite replays appearing to show Wirtz in an offside position.
Silva described the decision as “a clear offside” and said Fulham want an explanation. The match eventually ended 2-2 after late goals from both sides, but Silva insists the officials’ decision had a big impact on the game.
Fulham are still waiting for feedback from PGMOL and the Premier League, with Silva saying he, his staff, the players and fans all believe the same mistake was made.
