Anthony Joshua has paid tribute to his close friends Sina Ghami and Latif “Latz” Ayodele after they were killed in a car crash in Nigeria. The boxer said he is finding it very hard to come to terms with their deaths.
Ghami and Ayodele died when their car, which Joshua was also travelling in, crashed into a parked truck near Lagos. Joshua suffered only minor injuries and later returned to the UK, where he attended their funeral in London.
Joshua shared an emotional message on Instagram, praising Ghami and Ayodele and asking for prayers for their families. Ghami had worked with Joshua for more than 10 years as his rehabilitation coach, while Ayodele was a close friend and personal trainer.
The driver involved in the crash has been charged by police, while Joshua continues to mourn his friends as he recovers from the tragic incident.
