Newcastle head coach Eddie Howe says he is “very happy” at St James’ Park and has no plans to leave, dismissing speculation linking him to the Manchester United job.
Howe, in charge since November 2021, is one of the longest-serving Premier League managers. He says his main focus is enjoying his role, building good relationships, and being able to express himself fully in his work.
Despite past tensions with former sporting director Paul Mitchell, Howe now works well with Ross Wilson and continues to have the backing of the club’s owners. Newcastle are ninth in the Premier League, two points off fifth, have reached the Carabao Cup semi-finals, and are on track for a Champions League last-16 spot.
Howe added that unity and trust between the board and himself are key to success, and he hopes this continues for a long time.
