Jamie George says England will support captain Maro Itoje as he mourns the loss of his mother.
Itoje missed the Six Nations launch in Edinburgh after travelling to Nigeria for the funeral. George, who has experienced a similar loss during the 2024 Six Nations, praised Itoje for showing strength and putting the team first despite his grief.
George added that the team will give Itoje the space he needs while remaining there for him during this difficult period.
England begin their Six Nations campaign against Wales at Twickenham on 7 February, following an 11-match winning run in the past year.
