Chelsea and Scotland legend Eddie McCreadie has died at the age of 85.

Born in Glasgow, McCreadie starred for Chelsea and won the League Cup in 1965 and the FA Cup in 1970. He earned 23 caps for Scotland, including a famous 3-2 win over England at Wembley.

McCreadie made 410 appearances for Chelsea, was praised by manager Tommy Docherty as the best left-back in Europe, and was known for his attacking, wing-back style. He also scored a memorable solo goal in the 1965 League Cup final against Leicester City.

After retiring as a player, McCreadie managed Chelsea, leading them back to the First Division in 1977, before moving to coach in the United States. He finally retired from football in 1985.
