Enzo Fernandez scored a stoppage-time equaliser as Chelsea earned a hard-fought Premier League point at Manchester City. The goal capped a turbulent week for Chelsea, with under-21 coach Calum McFarlane taking charge of the first team on an interim basis after Enzo Maresca’s departure.
Chelsea frustrated the title-chasing hosts for long periods. City went ahead just before half-time through Tijjani Reijnders, but Chelsea battled back in the second half. Pedro Neto and substitute Liam Delap missed chances before Fernandez poked in the equaliser late on, delighting the travelling fans.
The draw leaves City six points behind league leaders Arsenal, while Chelsea claim a morale-boosting point under interim management.
