Declan Rice scored twice as Premier League leaders Arsenal came from behind to beat Bournemouth.
Arsenal fell behind after a mistake from defender Gabriel allowed Evanilson to score for Bournemouth. However, Gabriel made up for it by scoring the equaliser after Gabriel Martinelli’s shot was blocked.
Bournemouth had chances to regain the lead, but Rice fired Arsenal ahead with a shot from the edge of the box following a pass from Martin Odegaard. The England midfielder, returning from a knee injury, then scored his second goal after a cutback from substitute Bukayo Saka.
Teenager Eli Junior Kroupi gave Bournemouth hope with a long-range strike, but the hosts could not find an equaliser. Antoine Semenyo, who could be heading to Manchester City in a £65m move, had a quiet game.
The win moves Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal six points clear at the top of the Premier League, though Manchester City can reduce the gap when they face Chelsea on Sunday.
