After Nigeria’s 2–1 win over Tanzania in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, Super Eagles defender Semi Ajayi said the team doesn’t depend only on attackers to score.
Ajayi and Ademola Lookman scored the goals that gave the Super Eagles the victory against Tanzania.
Reflecting on the game, Ajayi said the team is using their experience from the last AFCON in Ivory Coast. “We are a team that can score goals from all areas, not just the attackers,” he added. “It’s great to help the team succeed.”
