Michael Jolley stepped down as Bury manager just two days after his appointment following strong fan backlash.
The former Grimsby Town and Barrow boss resigned after supporters raised concerns linked to a 2009 incident, which led to protests from fans and criticism on social media. Jolley said his appointment had become a distraction for the club and chose to step aside so Bury could move forward.
Bury FC confirmed Jolley left by mutual consent, with Tim Lees taking charge on an interim basis while the club reviews its operations and works to restore trust with supporters.
