Hearts strengthened their grip on top spot in the Scottish Premiership with a hard-fought win over Falkirk in terrible weather conditions.
The league leaders made the perfect start when Claudio Braga headed them in front just over a minute into the game after Lawrence Shankland’s shot was saved. From there, the match turned into a scrappy battle in heavy rain and strong winds.
Falkirk tried to get back into it but lacked a finishing touch, with their best chance denied when a goal-bound effort was blocked and a penalty appeal waved away.
Hearts sealed the win late on when substitute Stephen Kingsley smashed in a brilliant shot from outside the box. The victory moves Hearts six points clear of Celtic at the top, putting extra pressure on the champions as the title race continues.
