Chris Eubank Jr says he won’t fight again until he is fully healthy. The 36-year-old boxer, who lost his rematch to Conor Benn last month, revealed he has been dealing with several health problems over the past year.
He shared a video from hospital but didn’t explain exactly what’s wrong. Eubank said everything “caught up” with him recently and he doesn’t know when he’ll be ready to box again. Still, he promised fans he will try his best to make a strong comeback someday.
Eubank lost to Benn by unanimous decision seven months after beating him in their first fight. Both fights included a rule that limited how much weight they could gain after the weigh-in.
Before the rematch, Eubank mentioned he might retire, but later said he wasn’t quitting yet. Despite the loss and his health concerns, he is still one of the top middleweight boxers and hopes to fight for a world title. For now, there are no plans for a third fight with Benn.
