Dembele Named FIFA’s best Men’s Footballer

0

Paris St-Germain and France forward Ousmane Dembélé has been named FIFA’s men’s player of the year.

The 28-year-old received the award in Qatar after a hugely successful 2024-25 season with PSG, where he helped the club win four trophies. He had already been crowned Ballon d’Or winner in September.

Dembélé, who joined PSG in 2023 after spells with Barcelona and Borussia Dortmund, was directly involved in 51 goals across 53 matches last season, either scoring or setting up teammates.

A major highlight of his year was helping PSG win the Champions League for the first time in the club’s history. His performances saw him beat strong competition from Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal and Real Madrid’s Kylian Mbappé for the individual honour.

Dembélé attended the FIFA Best awards ceremony ahead of PSG’s Intercontinental Cup final against Flamengo the following day.
