Motherwell took the lead when Ibrahim Said headed in a perfect cross from Stephen O'Donnell. They doubled their advantage after a mistake by Celtic goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel allowed Elliot Watt to score into an empty net. This marked Motherwell’s first home win over Celtic since April 2013.
Celtic struggled to create chances and looked rattled throughout, while Motherwell remained strong, keeping pace in fourth place, just two points behind Rangers.
