Bristol Bears forward Pedro Rubiolo has signed a new long-term contract with the Premiership club.

The 23-year-old Argentina lock joined Bristol from Newcastle Red Bulls in 2024 on a three-year deal and has now agreed to extend his stay. Rubiolo has made three appearances this season and helped the Bears climb to fifth place after seven matches.

Bristol director of rugby Pat Lam said the club is delighted Rubiolo has committed his future, praising his impact, physicality, work rate and competitive attitude since arriving at Ashton Gate.

Rubiolo, who has 32 caps for Argentina and helped his country beat New Zealand and South Africa this year, said he feels at home at Bristol and believes in the club’s long-term project.

The exact length of the new contract has not been revealed. Rubiolo’s extension follows new deals for Harry Randall, Matias Moroni and James Williams.
