Coventry City and Southampton have been charged by the Football Association over a post-match melee during their 1-1 draw at St Mary’s on Saturday.
The incident involved players and staff from both sides, with Coventry manager Frank Lampard appearing to exchange words with Saints players before others got involved.
Coventry had taken the lead through Ephron Mason-Clark, but Jay Dasilva was sent off two minutes into the second half, leaving Coventry with 10 players. Nathan Wood then equalised for Southampton nine minutes later.
The draw stopped Coventry from extending their lead at the top of the Championship to eight points.
The FA said both clubs are alleged to have failed to control their players and staff after the final whistle. The clubs have until 30 December to respond.
