Evans steps into Man Utd academy role

0
Jonny Evans has become Manchester United's Head of Loans and Pathways following his retirement from professional football.

Evans, who called an end to his United career following the close of the 2024/25 season, will work closely with director of football Jason Wilcox and the head of the Academy in a move the club say "will enhance processes which maximise individual player development and prepare young talent to perform in the first team".

A graduate from the United academy system, Evans returned to Old Trafford for a second spell in 2023 and has 241 total appearances for the club, winning a Champions League, three Premier League titles, the FA Cup and two League Cups.

Evans is in the final stages of completing his UEFA A licence.
