Klopp committed to Liverpool amid Germany interest

Jurgen Klopp has been ruled out of the running to become the new coach of Germany, with the Liverpool manager intent on honouring his contract at Anfield.

Marc Kosicke, Klopp's agent, said any attempt by the German FA to target the 56-year-old after the sacking of Hansi Flick would fail.

"Jurgen has a long-term contract with Liverpool and is not available for the national coaching position," Kosicke told Sportschau.

Flick was dismissed after the 4-1 defeat to Japan on Saturday. In his absence, Rudi Voller has taken interim charge and oversaw Tuesday's 2-1 victory over France in Dortmund.
