Manchester United icon, Nemanja Vidic has hailed the club’s defender Lisandro Martinez, describing him as a warrior.
Vidic said he had his doubts about the height of the 25-year-old but added that the Argentine World Cup winner has shown his quality.
Martinez moved to Manchester United from Ajax last summer for £47 million and immediately established himself in Erik ten Hag’s squad.
He has played 45 games across competitions for the Red Devils, scoring one goal and helping his side keep 20 clean sheets.
Vidic, known for his no-nonsense approach during his eight seasons at Old Trafford, said, according to UtdPlug:
“I like him. He likes to defend. I had my doubts because of his size, but he’s good in the air.
“He knows how to position his body. He’s a good personality for the dressing room. He’s got the right mentality. He’s a warrior.”
