Aguero vs Haaland: He’s tougher – Emmanuel Adebayor picks better striker

Former Arsenal, Manchester City and Tottenham striker Emmanuel Adebayor has rated Erling Haaland ahead of former Argentina international, Sergio Aguero.

Adebayor believes that the Norwegian international, Haaland is more physical as a striker than Aguero was at the Etihad.

Aguero ended his career as the all-time goalscorer at Manchester City, while Haaland has netted 48 times just in his first season at the club.

The 22-year-old, who joined Pep Guardiola’s side from Borussia Dortmund last summer, has helped them reach the final of the FA Cup and also the semifinals of the Champions League as they keep hope of winning the treble alive.

Aguero, who left football due to a heart problem, scored 260 goals in 390 games for the Citizens.

Speaking ahead of the crucial Premier League between Man City and Arsenal at the Etihad on Wednesday, Adebayor explained the difference between the two lethal strikers.

“I see Haaland as more robust, tougher in tackles and more assertive, while Aguero was a bit colder in one-on-one situations with the opposing keeper,” he said.
