Potter identifies mistake Chelsea made against West Ham after 1-1 draw

Chelsea boss, Graham Potter, has pinpointed the mistake his team made during their Premier League 1-1 draw against West Ham United on Saturday afternoon.

Potter watched as Chelsea drew with West Ham at the London Stadium following goals from Joao Felix and Emerson Palmieri.

Speaking at his post-match press conference, Potter said Chelsea lost control for 10 minutes against West Ham and then conceded a goal in the first half.

According to him, that changes the dynamic of the game.

“Yeah, but you’ve got to earn that and we can’t complain or wait for luck to turn for us. We have to keep working. I thought in the first half we were positive, we started the game well, we scored a good goal, more opportunities as well, good attacking intent,” Potter said.

He added, “We lost a little bit of control for 5 or 10 minutes and then we conceded, which we could do better with, I think. That changes the dynamic of the game, but overall, I thought the first half was quite positive.”
