Guardiola blames Tottenham CEO, Daniel Levy, others

Manchester City boss, Pep Guardiola has mentioned Tottenham Hotspur’s Chief Executive Officer Daniel Levy as part of the alleged scheme to see Premier League champions relegated to the Championship.

The Premier League champions were slammed with over 100 charges after a four-year investigation, with the breaches coming over a period of nine years.

Amid the charges, there is a possibility that Pep Guardiola and his men could be relegated from the Premier League to the Championship.

But the Spaniard has remained defiant though, blaming the Chief Executive Officer of Tottenham Hotspur and the others and saying they would call upon club legends should they have to play in the lower leagues.

Speaking to the media on Friday, he said they will go to the lower divisions like before, and joked that “we will call Paul Dickov and Mike Summerbee.”

On whether the charges were driven by other clubs in the English top-flight, Guardiola named-ropped Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy, saying “Yeah of course.

“It’s the Premier League. You should go to the chairman, the CEOs, Daniel Levy, and ask them.”
