Espanyol are keen to bring Cristian Tello back to Europe.
The winger is currently tied to MLS outfit Los Angeles FC, but is open to a return to Europe.
Tello, formerly of Barcelona, is wanted by Espanyol coach Diego Martinez for next month's market.
Martinez has stated this week his squad is short of numbers and quality.
Along with Barca, Tello has also played for Real Betis and Fiorentina.
