Ten Hag to sign De Gea’s replacement from Man Utd’s rivals

Manchester United’s scouting team is monitoring Brighton goalkeeper, Robert Sanchez.

The Seagulls No. 1 has been in fine form this season and has just been picked ahead of David De Gea for the Spain squad to go to the World Cup this week.

Sanchez is among the keepers being considered by Erik ten Hag’s scouting department, with De Gea now into the final months of his current contract.

United have the option to extend De Gea’s stay but the 24-year-old is seen as a potential long-term replacement.

Chelsea manager, Graham Potter, who gave Sanchez his break at Brighton, is also a big fan of the Spaniard.

Since arriving at Stamford Bridge, Potter has picked both Kepa Arrizabalaga and Edouard Mendy.

But it remains to be seen whether Potter believes either keeper can fully play the style of football he is trying to implement in south west London.
