Leicester reject second Newcastle bid for Maddison

Leicester City have turned down a second offer from Newcastle for midfielder James Maddison.

The playmaker is a key target for the Magpies, and is said to favour a move to the St. James' Park club.

According to Sky Sports, the latest proposal from Newcastle is a little higher than £40 million.

However, Leicester value their no.10 at closer to £60 million, given he has vastly improved since he signed from Norwich City in 2018 for £24 million

Maddison netted 18 goals and provided 12 assists in 53 games in all competitions for the club last term.

If Newcastle were to complete this signing, he would become their most expensive player ever.
