Brighton spying Angelino to replace Chelsea target Cucurella

RB Leipzig left-back Angelino could be heading back to the Premier League.

The former Manchester City star has excelled in Germany for Leipzig, but may be in line for a return to England.

According to Sky Sports reporter Florian Plettenberg, Angelino is being lined up by Brighton as a replacement for Marc Cucurella.

The Spanish left-back, who was thought to be joining Manchester City, is set to sign for Chelsea.

The Blues have outbid the Premier League champions, as they see Cucurella as an option at left-wing-back and at left-sided stopper in manager Thomas Tuchel's three-at-the-back formation.

Leipzig have signed Germany international David Raum this summer from Hoffenheim, meaning they can afford to lose Angelino.
