Chelsea boss Tuchel unenthusiastic about Ronaldo signing

Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel is reluctant to see Cristiano Ronaldo signed.

The wantaway Manchester United striker has seen interest in him go cold as agent Jorge Mendes attempts to drum up interest.

New Chelsea owner Todd Boehly is keen to sign Ronaldo, who it is claimed is available for £14m.

But the Daily Mail says Tuchel is mindful of what happened at Old Trafford a year ago when former United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's plans to use a front three of Jadon Sancho, Mason Greenwood and Marcus Rashford were upset when Ronaldo was signed from Juventus late in the window - affecting the balance of the team.

Although Ronaldo would be attractive to Boehly because of his global marketability and goals record, he is allowing Tuchel a big say over signings.
