Liverpool boss Klopp has early development plan mapped out for Ramsay

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is signing Calvin Ramsay to play him.

Aberdeen have accepted an offer from Liverpool of £4m plus a further £1.5m in bonuses for Ramsay.

There had been expectations the Reds would immediately loan out the fullback, but Klopp plans to give Ramsay the chance to impress with the first team in pre-season rather than immediately send him away, says the Mirror.

The decision has been made, despite Rangers, Celtic and a host of Championship clubs reportedly interested.

Liverpool see him developing into a player who can operate in a number of positions on the right side, in defence and midfield, and were attracted to his passing range as well as an ability to create chances.
