Departing Barcelona attacker Ousmane Dembele is set to keep Chelsea waiting on a Bosman decision.
Dembele, 25, is a free agent at the end of this month, with Chelsea and Paris Saint Germain in contact.
Barca president Joan Laporta has stated their final contract offer remains on the table, but won't be improved.
Dembele will leave Barca, with Chelsea in talks with his agent, Moussa Sissoko. But he is determined to delay any decision until he returns from holiday, says the Mirror.
That means nothing has yet been decided, nothing has been signed or agreed with any club and that leaves the door open for Chelsea to pursue him and potentially go head-to-head with PSG.
Chelsea hope they have an advantage as manager Thomas Tuchel knows Dembele from their time together at Borussia Dortmund.
