Juventus’ squad and staffs were already in self-isolation after defender Daniele Rugani was the first player in Italy to be announced as positive for Covid-19 earlier this month.
All Juventus’s players took part in testings due to this.

But Juventus have now announced that 32-year-old French midfielder Blaise Matuidi is the second squad member to contract the virus, despite not showing any symptoms of illness.
A club statement from Juventus read: “Footballer Blaise Matuidi did undergo some medical tests and it has revealed his positive to CoronaVirus-COVID-19.
“Matuidi on Wednesday 11 March is currently in voluntary home isolation and he will continue to be monitored, to follow the same regime. He is fine and is asymptomatic.”
