Wolverhampton Wanderers have rejected an approach from Fiorentina for Super Eagles striker Tolu Arokodare, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, citing Italian outlet FirenzeViola, as the Nigerian continues to attract interest from clubs across Europe.
The Serie A side made an enquiry for the 24-year-old as they look to strengthen their attacking options for head coach Fabio Grosso while awaiting developments in their pursuit of Luca Koleosho. However, Wolves declined the approach.
Arokodare has also emerged as a target for Turkish club Trabzonspor, who became the first side to submit an official proposal. According to Turkish journalist Zeki Uzundurukan, the Super Lig outfit offered a loan deal for the Nigerian, viewing him as a potential replacement for fellow Super Eagles forward Paul Onuachu should he leave the club this summer.
Despite the growing interest, Arokodare is reportedly not keen on leaving Molineux at this stage, presenting another major hurdle for Fiorentina, Trabzonspor and other interested clubs.
The striker joined Wolves from Belgian side Genk in the summer of 2025 on a four-year contract, with the option of an additional year. He endured a challenging debut campaign in England, making 33 Premier League appearances, although only 13 came as a starter.
Trabzonspor face competition from fellow Turkish giants BeÅŸiktaÅŸ and Fenerbahçe for Arokodare's signature. BeÅŸiktaÅŸ are reported to have seen a verbal €15 million bid rejected by Wolves and have reportedly enlisted former Nigeria international Daniel Amokachi and Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi to help persuade the striker that a move to Turkey would benefit his career.
Wolves are understood to favour a permanent transfer over a loan as they seek to recover a significant portion of the £24 million they paid Genk for the forward. However, the club's valuation has complicated negotiations, making a temporary move back to continental Europe a more realistic option for interested clubs.
