Manchester United have included 15-year-old forward JJ Gabriel in their senior squad for Friday's pre-season friendly against Norwegian side Rosenborg.
Gabriel, who won both the club's Under-18 Player of the Year and Premier League Under-18 awards last season despite being just 14 when the campaign began, is part of Michael Carrick's 25-man travelling squad.
The highly rated youngster, who turns 16 in October, has risen rapidly through United's academy after scoring 29 goals in 32 appearances last season and helping the club reach the FA Youth Cup and Premier League Under-18 final.
If he features against Rosenborg, Gabriel will become one of the youngest players ever to represent Manchester United's senior team, marking another major milestone in the career of one of English football's brightest young talents.
