Ferrari's Lewis Hamilton produced a superb qualifying performance to secure pole position for the Sprint Race at the British Grand Prix, edging Mercedes' Kimi Antonelli by a razor-thin margin.
Hamilton, a record nine-time winner at Silverstone, clocked the fastest lap to beat the championship leader by just 0.011 seconds.
Red Bull's Max Verstappen qualified third, finishing 0.321 seconds off Hamilton's pace.
Mercedes' George Russell endured a disappointing session, managing only fifth on the grid behind Ferrari's Charles Leclerc. Russell trails teammate Antonelli by 40 points in the championship standings.
McLaren's reigning world champion Lando Norris, who won last year's British Grand Prix, qualified sixth, one place ahead of teammate Oscar Piastri.
Red Bull's Isack Hadjar, Racing Bulls' Liam Lawson, and British rookie Arvid Lindblad completed the top 10.
The Sprint Race at Silverstone is scheduled to begin at 12:00 BST on Saturday.
