Chelsea are set to complete the signing of attacking midfielder Giulia Dragoni from Barcelona as they continue to strengthen their squad ahead of the new season.
The 19-year-old spent the last two seasons on loan at Roma, while Chelsea have monitored her development for several years.
Dragoni has already earned 24 caps for Italy since making her senior debut at just 16 and has gained valuable Women’s Champions League experience during her time with Roma.
She joined Barcelona in 2023 after coming through Inter Milan’s youth academy and quickly established herself as one of Italy’s most promising young talents.
Chelsea were reportedly impressed by Dragoni’s versatility, with the ability to operate in several attacking roles as well as in midfield.
The teenager is set to become Chelsea’s fourth summer signing as the club looks to reclaim the Women’s Super League title after Manchester City ended their dominance last season.
