Brentford are on the verge of completing the signing of Burnley winger Jaidon Anthony in a deal worth an initial £15 million, with the fee potentially rising to £17 million through performance-related add-ons.
The 26-year-old is expected to sign a four-year contract, with the option of a further year, while his medical is provisionally scheduled for Monday.
Anthony impressed despite Burnley's difficult campaign last season, contributing nine goals and four assists in 38 appearances across all competitions. However, his efforts were not enough to prevent the Clarets from suffering relegation from the Premier League.
A move to Brentford is understood to appeal to the London-born forward, who came through Arsenal's academy before beginning his professional career elsewhere. Bees head coach Keith Andrews is believed to view Anthony as an ideal fit for his attacking system.
Brentford have already strengthened their squad this summer with the signing of defender Jannik Schuster from RB Salzburg in a deal worth up to £16 million, including add-ons.
Anthony left Arsenal in 2016 without making a senior appearance and went on to establish himself at Bournemouth after productive loan spells with Weymouth and Leeds United.
He initially joined Burnley on loan from Bournemouth in 2024 before the move was made permanent last summer after the Clarets secured promotion, activating an £8 million obligation-to-buy clause.
Following Burnley's immediate return to the Championship, Anthony now looks set for another Premier League opportunity. The Clarets begin their second-tier campaign against West Ham on August 16.
Brentford, meanwhile, narrowly missed out on European qualification after finishing ninth in the Premier League on goal difference and will open their new league campaign against Tottenham Hotspur.
