England batter Tammy Beaumont has announced she will retire from international cricket after the upcoming one-off Test against India at Lord's, bringing an end to a remarkable 17-year international career.
The 35-year-old made her England debut in 2009 and will finish with 260 international appearances across all formats. Beaumont retires as England Women's leading ODI century-maker with 12 hundreds and is one of only two English women to score international centuries in Tests, ODIs and T20Is.
A key member of England's 2017 Women's World Cup-winning team, Beaumont was named Player of the Tournament after scoring 410 runs. She also made history in 2023 by becoming the first England woman to score a Test double-century, with 208 against Australia in the Ashes.
Reflecting on her decision, Beaumont said representing England for nearly 17 years had been "the greatest honour" of her career and expressed pride in inspiring the next generation of cricketers. While stepping away from the international stage, she will continue playing domestic cricket.
