Arsenal have completed the signing of Greece international Christos Tzolis from Club Brugge in a deal worth £34 million.
The 24-year-old forward has signed a long-term contract with the Premier League champions, becoming the club's latest addition ahead of the new season.
Tzolis arrives in north London after an impressive spell with Club Brugge, where he scored 43 goals and registered 45 assists in 108 appearances, establishing himself as one of Europe's most productive attacking players.
His arrival follows the departure of Belgian forward Leandro Trossard, who joined Besiktas earlier this month.
Arsenal sporting director Andrea Berta hailed Tzolis as a major addition to the squad.
"Christos is an extremely versatile attacking player who naturally operates on the left but is comfortable anywhere across the front line," Berta said.
"He's an excellent finisher with both feet, thrives in tight spaces, and possesses outstanding technical ability. Over the last three seasons, he's consistently delivered goals and assists. He'll raise the technical level of our squad while bringing positive energy, enthusiasm, and a strong mentality to the team."
Tzolis began his professional career at PAOK before moving to Norwich City in 2021. During his three-year spell with the Canaries, he made 30 appearances and scored three goals, while also enjoying loan spells at Twente and Fortuna Düsseldorf before securing a permanent move to Club Brugge.
Interestingly, Tzolis made his Premier League debut in a 1-0 defeat against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium in September 2021. Now, he returns to north London wearing the famous red and white shirt.
The Greek international revealed that a conversation with Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta played a key role in his decision to join the club.
"We talked about everything—the club, myself, his plans, and the team. It was all very positive," Tzolis said.
Describing his playing style, he added: "I'm a direct player. I always look to score goals or provide assists—that's my mentality as an attacker. I'm always hungry to make the difference for the team, and I also work hard defensively."
Arsenal will hope Tzolis' creativity, versatility, and eye for goal add another dimension to their attack as they prepare to defend their Premier League title and compete on multiple fronts this season.
